Meesha Patel - Tribute from a friend

At the Brittle Bone Society we learned with sadness of the passing of a much loved Member - Ms Meesha Patel of Surrey, on Saturday 19th December 2009. Meesha had a personality to be proud of; full of energy and with such character. Her laugh was contagious, and she put a smile on people’s faces with her advice and words of comfort. Although I didn’t know her long, during the months I spoke to her we became good friends.

Meesha was an inspiration to many because of her will power and independence. A few weeks ago, Meesha came down from Surrey to visit me, we went to the beach and I showed her around Bournemouth. Meesha was worried about me because she knew I could not walk far distances, which was typical of her caring and considerate ways, and I’m glad I got to know her.

Meesha would check up on me with phone calls and I’ll miss my conversations with her, none of us will forget her.
