Youth Event (Age Group: 16-30)

Update

Our closing date for the event has now passed and we are delighted to be able to inform you that all those who applied and met the age criteria are able to attend.

On the Friday night we are going to have a socialising event to get everyone introduced (a Speed Meeting).  Then on the Saturday we have got a full day of events planned (Independent Living, Direct Payments, Health and Medical stuff) all aimed at giving those there the chance to hear about a wide range of topics.  We will have a comedienne Rhona McKenzie who has OI herself, then the icing on the cake, on the Saturday Evening we will be having a Fancy Dress Dinner, who will you be?

Please be aware that only those who have been selected to attend can attend, if you are interested in attending you must go through the office to see if there are spaces available.

Travel

By Train

If arriving by train, the nearest train station is Telford Central.  National Rail's website www.nationalrail.com or phone 08457 48 49 50 will provide more detailed information.  Black cabs do run from a licensed Taxi Rank at the train station.  

Plane

The nearest Airport is Birmingham International.  You can access the train to Telford direct from Birmingham Airport as the have a fully accessible SkyRail.  Should you wish to clarify any accessiblity around the airport, you can contact them direct on 0121 767 7878.  The journey between Birmingham and Telford is approximately one to one and a half hours, but we would suggest allowing additional time for transferring etc.
