Big Fun Run 2010
My sister Lynda and I took part in the Big Fun Run at Camperdown Park, Dundee on Saturday 17th July to raise funds for the Brittle Bone Society. We had great fun; I particularly enjoyed the group warm up before the race began. There were about 70 participants including adults, children, babies in prams and even dogs! If you want to help fundraise for the BBS this is a great activity to take part in. You don’t have to be a runner, in fact around 80% of those taking part in the Dundee Fun Run walked round (including me). Come on – Take part and have some fun!!
There are 24 Big Fun Runs taking place throughout the UK from now until October, visit the Big Fun Run website www.bigfunrun.com to see if there is a race near you. A number of the Fun Runs are fully wheelchair accessible, check the Big Fun Run website for more details. The Brittle Bone Society is one of the Big Fun Run’s registered charities so if you run in support of the BBS you will qualify for a discounted registration fee. Here at BBS headquarters we also have a few 2 for 1 entry vouchers which will be available to participants on a first come first serve basis, contact Christine on chris@brittlebone.org for more info.
