Having run the last two events at Loughborough, we thought it fair to move our annual event around the country - We are delighted to publish information on our Conference this year - to be held at the Imperial Hotel in Blackpool from Friday 21st Sep to Sunday 23rd Sep 2012.

Please note the Early Bird Discount deadline has been extended to Monday 30th July 2012.

As ever we are keen to attract as many BBS families as we can and the Trustees are keen to offer subsidy where possible. We will use the same system as last year and ask you to complete the application and if you have any problems don't hesitate to ring the office (01382 204446 or email us on bbs@brittlebone.org).

This year's agenda is going to be amazing. There will be an array of excellent medical and other speakers and workshops, a kiddies talent show (with full stage and spotlights) - a glitzy annual awards dinner in a fabulous ballroom setting and we took on board all the feedback from last year to give you the best conference ever. Child Care at Conference

Every year at the BBS Annual Conference there is a kids club where children can have fun and meet up with new and old friends whilst parents enjoy the talks and workshops throughout the weekend. The kids club will run from approximately 9am-4pm on Saturday 22^nd September (with a break for lunch) and 9.30am to 13.30pm on Sunday 23^rd (please check conference programme on the day for exact timings). There will be loads of arts and crafts activities, table top games, video games, dvds etc. plus some group activities. There will also be a divided off area for the wee ones (0-5’s) who may need some quite time away from the older kids. A main feature of the day will be rehearsals for the BBS Kids Talent Show, see more details below.

BBS Kids Talent Show

This year we have set aside a special timeslot in the programme for the kid’s talent show. It will be bigger and better than ever before with a stage, auditorium style seating for the audience so that everyone gets an amazing view and will be followed by a kids party tea (to ensure the kids aren’t waiting too late for their evening meal).

If any of your children have a special talent – singing, dancing, reading poetry, playing a musical instrument etc. etc. please tell them to get practising! There will be a chance to have a few practise runs throughout the day on Saturday so that the kids can get used to being on the stage, the microphones and where the audience will be. This will also give kids the chance to team up if they would prefer to perform with others rather than on their own.

Travelling by Car:

From Jct 32 of the M6 North and South, follow the M55 towards Blackpool. Leave the M55 at Jct 4 and follow the signs for the North Shore. Drive through the town centre until you reach the sea, turn right at the North Pier and you will find the hotel half-mile on the right hand side.
