VOICE Edinburgh 2012
THREE days
SIXTEEN young people
TWELVE months planning
ONE unforgettable weekend
A group of 16 young people met up at the Hilton Hotel, Edinburgh Airport for our 3rd annual VOICE Youth Event from 13-15th April 2012.
Delegates were welcomed with a goodie bag filled with lots of Scottish products.
The event included an inspirational welcome talk from Paul Noble, MBS - 5 time Paralympic medallist.

The rest of the day consisted of talks on Mental Health, Further Educations, Genetics, Welfare Reform, Relationships and a Cookery Masterclass from the Hilton's Chef David Ferguson.
On Saturday lunchtime BBS members had the opportunity to meet Lord McAvoy of Rutherglen, an avid supporter of the BBS. He got the opportunity to hear about our many projects as well as a chance to have informal chats with delegates to establish more about the work of the Brittle Bone Society.
Later in the day, delegates had a chance to get outside and enjoy a canal boat trip, organised by the Segull Trust. This meant the chance to observe some of the beautiful Scottish scenery and experience and activity that was previously considerered 'out of bounds' to wheelchair users.
Saturday evening comprised of a wonderful dinner and disco, along with the chance to have a professional photograph taken by Chris O'Sullivan which will ensure VOICE 2012 is never forgotten!
