Family Fun Day in Cardiff
Brittle Bone Society held its Cardiff Family Fun Day on 24 January 2026, hosted at Techniquest, Cardiff’s interactive science centre. This free event was designed exclusively for families affected by Osteogenesis Imperfecta (OI), offering a welcoming environment in which attendees could meet, share experiences, and enjoy an accessible day of learning and engagement.
Taking place from 10:30am to 2:30pm, the Family Fun Day provided participants with full access to Techniquest’s wide range of hands‑on science exhibits, ensuring a fun experience suitable for all ages. The event was based in the centre’s dedicated Learning Hub, allowing families to gather comfortably while also benefiting from the many interactive opportunities available throughout the venue. Packed lunches were provided to all registered attendees.
This event was delivered by the Brittle Bone Society in partnership with the OI Team from Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospital. The collaboration ensured that attendees not only enjoyed a social and educational day out, but also had the opportunity to engage with professionals and peers who understand the challenges and experiences associated with the condition.
The Cardiff Family Fun Day formed part of the Society’s wider programme of events aimed at fostering community connections, raising awareness of Osteogenesis Imperfecta, and providing inclusive opportunities for families to gather in supportive environments.
