BBS Family Conference & AGM 2023
We are excited to share the highlights of our recent Annual Conference and AGM. Like a long-awaited reunion, this year’s event was a heart-warming celebration of knowledge, and community.
Our conference was an incredible insight into the latest advancements in OI research, treatment, and care. Esteemed healthcare professionals and industry experts graced our stage with their knowledge and passion, providing valuable insights into the condition and its management.
The highlight of our conference was undoubtedly the fabulous Gala Dinner and Awards Ceremony. It was a night of glamour and recognition, where we celebrated the remarkable individuals who have made a significant impact in the OI community.
After the challenges posed by the pandemic, our conference was more than just an educational event; it was a heartfelt reunion. The joy of reconnecting with familiar faces and forging new friendships warmed our hearts. Together, we created memories that will remain etched in our hearts for years to come.
We extend our deepest gratitude to all our attendees, speakers, sponsors, and staff who made this event an astounding success. Your support and dedication continue to be the driving force behind the BBS.
The live stream from the conference will be posted on our YouTube channel shortly.
Programme
As ever, we had a great line up of talks and speakers planned!
Ms Samantha Renke (Disability Advocate, TV personality, campaigner for disability rights, and a former BBS Trustee) attended and provided a talk.
Also lined up was Dom Hyams of Purple Goat Agency (Trustee of BBS and active disability campaigner) and Trustee Thines Ganeshamoorthy. Dom and Thines teamed up and presented a talk on great advice on top technical tips for wheelchairs and equipment.
Cool Bones ran a fun zone with funding gratefully received by the Light Fund. We also had a kids club for the little ones, and as always, they were taken good care of by professional creche services.
