BBS Family Conference & AGM 2023
We are delighted to be able to announce our first in person family conference and AGM, since before the pandemic, will be happening on the 19th August in Hinckley. This is a great opportunity to get together and catch up with old and new friends.
To keep costs to a minimum we are having a 1 day conference, with gala dinner.
For those who wish to stay, the option of accommodation for both Friday 18th and Saturday 19th are available to book when you register.
We have grants available to assist individuals and famlies to attend conference please apply as early as possible.
As you can appreciate Grants available from the BBS are limited. Please note we offer priority to individuals who themselves are diagnosed with OI, and to direct family members such as spouses, parents/guardians and siblings.
You can apply for a grant here.
As ever we have a great line up of talks and speakers planned!
We are thrilled to announce that Ms Samantha Renke (Disability Advocate, TV personality, campaigner for disability rights, and a former BBS Trustee) will be attending and providing a talk.
Also lined up are Dom Hyams of Purple Goat Agency (Trustee of BBS and active disability campaigner) and Trustee Thines Ganeshamoorthy. Dom and Thines will team up and present a talk on great advice on top technical tips for wheelchairs and equipment.
Cool bones will be running a fun zone with funding gratefully received by the Light Fund and we will also have a kids club for the little ones, and as always, they will be taken good care of by professional creche services.
The full Agenda will be available soon.
