Clinical Practice Recommendations for the Management of Adults living with Severe Osteogenesis Imperfecta such as Type 111

The Brittle Bone Society Medical Advisory Board, along with a core working group of people with severe OI such as Type III and other health care professionals, was set up to draft a set of steps adults with severe OI should expect from the NHS.

This draft Clinical Practice Recommendations document along with the patient checklist was shared with the wider stakeholder group including adults living with severe OI such as type III and healthcare professionals for comment and feedback.

The aim of the Clinical Practice Recommendations document is to describe the minimum care an adult with severe OI such as type III should receive from the NHS.

The consultation for these documents is now closed. We hope to have this published in the foreseeable future.
