I am currently employed by a national charity, I have experience of influencing the NHS and local authorities, co-producing care pathways with commissioners, business planners, practitioners and people affected by a long term health condition. I have experience of project management, engaging volunteers, developing services, leading campaigns for change, organising events and public speaking. I have also been a Trustee of several local charities and have knowledge of Trustee roles and responsibilities.
Having developed my expertise through my employment and voluntary work, I would like to share it with the Brittle Bone Society; an organisation I have supported for 38 years. During this time, I have seen how the organisation has flourished and grown into a very well respected support organisation, providing invaluable support and information, influencing research and services. I greatly value the opportunity to use my skills, motivation, knowledge and dedication to support the charity to continue its progression and amazing work. The Brittle Bone Society has had a hugely positive impact on my life by giving me the confidence and inspiration to live life to the fullest. I plan to support the organisation to provide this for people affected by Osteogenesis Imperfecta for many years to come.
