BBS Research Funding

After a successful year in 2022, the Trustees of the Brittle Bone Society announced that we can fund another round of research projects in 2023. There is one application round.

Applications submitted are going to be assessed for their fit with the Brittle Bone Society’s research priorities.  We expect to award grants of up to £25,000.

The Brittle Bone Society is an NIHR non-commercial partner, and as such any appropriate research studies funded through our eligible funding streams are automatically eligible for NIHR Clinical Research Network (CRN) support and therefore entitled to access NHS support via the NIHR Clinical Research Network.

The Brittle Bone Society are also members of the AMRC.  Please see our recent Certificate for passing the 3 yearly audit of our Peer Review process.

 

Patient Engagement

 

If you are a Researcher not looking for funding, but requesting access to patient engagement to assist with your research please complete the Research Support Request Form

Due to the large amount of these requests we cannot commit to them all, and therefore the request form will be forwarded to our Scientific Advisory Board for approval.
