Visit to Glasgow Uni Bone Researchers

back

BBS were pleased to catch up with supporter Fiona Holmes in Glasgow 14th March, when she joined Patricia and Coreen to visit Glasgow University, Centre for the Cellular Microenvironment (CeMi) for advanced research centre. BBS representatives were given a warm and hospitable welcome and asked to give a presentation to Researchers and students about OI. We gave an overview of our general work at the Charity, the support we provide and our research milestones. Fiona gave a personal insight about how she lives with OI and stayed on for a Q and A session after the event. The research department are working on a programme involving stem cells and potential bone growth. We hope to learn more about this project and will keep BBS members updated.

BBS are grateful for our members involvement in this project and if anybody would like to take part in future events, do please drop us a note to admin@brittlebone.org
